One of the most common applications for laboratory chamber furnaces is to heat combustible samples in order to analyse the resulting ash residue. A variation of ashing furnace is VM (volatile material determination) furnace. antsProsys Ashing and VM furnaces can be programmed and alarm set to required ASTM standards for carrying out various types of characterizations. The ashing furnace range is designed specifically to provide optimum ashing conditions to ensure complete combustion of the sample. The furnace has a ceramic muffle with embedded heating from four sides. The muffle furnace thus combines a very good temperature uniformity with excellent protection of heating elements from aggressive atmospheres. Another aspect is smooth nearly particle free muffle (manufactured by Ants Ceramics Pvt Ltd.), an important quality feature for some ashing processes.
